Areas of Concentration

Clinical Research
This area of concentration is centered on the teaching of the conceptual bases of several types of clinical and epidemiological studies, including methods for investigating the epidemiology and pathophysiology of adult, maternal and child diseases, therapeutic strategies and measures for injury prevention and health promotion. It also includes research to test, develop and improve diagnosis methods, procedures, measurement tools, education, information and intelligent tutoring systems in healthcare.

Biomedical Research
This area of concentration is centered on the teaching of the conceptual and methodological bases of experimental research as an instrument to study the pathophysiology and pathogenesis of diseases, as well as to investigate cellular and molecular responses to medications, aggressions, stimulations and biomaterials. It includes the study of experimental research models.
